Newcastle begin new era as Red Bulls after rugby takeover deal completed

Newcastle Falcons, a Premiership rugby club, has been taken over by Red Bull, the energy drink company. The club will now be known as Newcastle Red Bulls and will continue to play at their home ground, Kingston Park. Steve Diamond will remain as the director of rugby. The takeover is part of Red Bull's expansion into various sports, including football, motor racing, and winter sports. Newcastle Red Bulls finished bottom of the Premiership table for the past three seasons, but the new ownership has promised to invest in developing local rugby talent through a strengthened academy program and provide a "world-class fan experience."
