3 of 2026's must-play games have their best discounts yet in Steam's Summer Sale

The Summer Sale includes too many discounts to count, from basically getting Disco Elysium for free when bundled with Zero Parades: For Dead Spies to a 70% markdown for CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077. Newer games get in on the action too, as some of 2026's best games have their deepest discounts yet. Here are a few of our favorite games from the year that you'll find discounted during Steam's Summer Sale. While January can sometimes be a slow month for new video game releases, this year it had a handful of standout new titles, the best of which was Mio: Memories in Orbit. It's a gorgeous Metroidvania that is equal parts breathtaking to look at and exciting to play. You control an android grappling, wall-jumping, and fighting against tough enemies (and even tougher bosses) throughout a mysterious spaceship.
