Dunmurry: Man dies following house fire

A man in his 50s has died after a fire at a house in Dunmurry, on the outskirts of Belfast. Emergency services attended the scene of the blaze on Station View at about 20:40 GMT on Monday, the PSNI said. Fire appliances from Cadogan and Lisburn fire stations attended and extinguished the fire, leaving the scene about two hours later. Police said they are continuing to conduct enquiries into the circumstances of the fire, which it is not being treated as suspicious. The deadlock over the Orange Order march in Portadown - opposed by residents of the Garvaghy Road - has lasted since last Sunday morning. Facing questions in the Stormont assembly, O'Neill said she was "proud" to stand with the residents and "will continue to stand with them". Twenty-nine people, including a woman pregnant with twins, died when the bomb tore through Omagh town centre. Two separate shootings in Coleraine are being treated as attempted murder by the PSNI. Edward Gallagher will be sentenced in December after pleading guilty to 109 sex offences. Copyright 2026 BBC. All rights reserved. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external sites.
