Leaderboards, proximity chat, spectator mode, and more Battlefield Studios has revealed the 2026 roadmap for Battlefield 6. It's good news for the players who have stuck with the game since launch, and even better news for longtime series veterans. The biggest news is arriving with season 4 in July: naval warfare is coming to both Battlefield 6 and Redsec. It will include aircraft carriers, complete with an operational flight deck, alongside new naval-based vehicles and challenges. There will also be a "dynamic wave system," which means players can use waves for "strategic approaches and ambushes," according to the video detailing the roadmap. Of course, there need to be maps with large bodies of water for naval warfare to ensue, which is why a reimagining of Wake Island, one of the series' most popular and celebrated maps, is coming for its tenth appearance, believe it or not. Alongside that, Tsuru Reef will be a brand new naval-focused map set in the Pacific, and testing for it will begin in Battlefield Labs "soon."
