Kagurabachi is one of the biggest titles among the new generation of Shonen Jump manga, its popularity further confirmed by the recent announcement of an anime adaptation coming in 2027. However, as stated by the series' official account on X, the Kagurabachi manga will be entering a short hiatus starting in June 2026. Going on break is not unusual for manga. The schedule for creators, especially those working on a weekly series, is grueling, to say the least. One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, for example, takes a break every three weeks, but that's only because the series' unparalleled popularity has earned Oda the right to make requests that other mangaka cannot afford. It appears that Kagurabachi author Takeru Hokazono has at least earned the right to take a short break from work. Kagurabachi will be on hiatus from June 29 until an unspecified date in August. While no specific reason has been stated, the post mentions "ensuring that the work will be presented regularly in the future."
