Per Variety's reporting, The Mandalorian and Grogu's three-day gross currently stands at $82 million. Once you factor in Memorial Day, the movie is estimated to make around $102 million over its opening weekend in the United States. While it outperformed The Devil Wears Prada 2's opening weekend, it will need that extra Memorial Day revenue to surpass Michael's opening-weekend gross. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie still holds the top spot for the biggest opening weekend of the year. Although The Mandalorian and Grogu's opening weekend was decent for 2026 box-office standards, it's considered a disappointment when compared to other modern Star Wars films. Solo: A Star Wars Story was the previous low point for Disney's Star Wars theatrical releases, with a $103 opening in 2018.
