Toy Story 5 also grossed more than both Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 did in their respective opening weekends. In fact, Pixar's latest did so well that it has the second-highest opening-weekend gross of any animated movie ever. The only other one to have a higher three-day total is Incredibles 2, another Pixar animation, which grossed $182.6 million during its first weekend in theaters in 2018. For a post-pandemic theatrical release, earning second place is a very impressive feat.
