Yakuza Kiwami 3 is official, and it’s out next year with a bonus new spinoff game

Yakuza Kiwami 3, a full remake of the 2009 game Yakuza 3, has been officially announced by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios. The game will feature modern graphics, enhanced gameplay, and new cutscenes, continuing the story of middle-aged protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. Alongside Yakuza Kiwami 3, a free spinoff game called Dark Ties, focusing on Kiryu's adversary Yoshitaka Mine, will also be released. Both games will launch on February 12, 2026, for PS4, PS5, Xbox, PC, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are coming to the Switch 2 later this year, and Yakuza 0: Director's Cut is being ported to PS5, Xbox, and PC on December 8. The studio also teased its next game, Stranger Than Heaven, which is set in multiple time periods in the 20th century and is separate from the Like a Dragon and Judgement series.
