The Outlast Trials Adds PvP Soon And It's Terrifying

The Outlast Trials, a co-op horror game, is set to introduce a new PvP mode called Invasion mode in its upcoming update on October 21. In this mode, a team of up to four players can join a game as "impostors," disguised as players on the other team and armed with kitchen knives. The impostors can spy on the other team using security cameras, and their signature laughs that previously gave them away have been removed, making it harder for players to identify them. Impostors can also unlock unique skills to move faster, blend in better, and kill more efficiently. In the final moments of a round, all impostors are released onto the map, adding to the chaos. The mode is designed to create an atmosphere of intense paranoia, as players cannot trust even their own allies. The update also includes new missions, an in-game shop, the annual Halloween event, and Twitch Drops, making it a significant addition to the game.
