See 6 Planets Align in the Night Sky This August

In August 2022, a rare planetary alignment will be visible in the night sky, allowing observers to see six planets align. The alignment will be best viewed towards the end of the month, although it will be visible from August 10 onwards. The six planets that will be aligned are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. This alignment is a relatively uncommon occurrence, with the last time it happened being in 2020. Observers will be able to see the planets arranged in a line across the sky, with the brightest objects, such as Jupiter and Venus, being the easiest to spot. The alignment will be visible in the early morning hours, just before sunrise. Astronomers advise that the best time to view the alignment will be in the latter part of August, as the planets will be more spread out and easier to distinguish. Clear skies and a dark location will provide the best viewing conditions.
