Woman charged with attempted murder after car hits pedestrians

A 29-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a car hit pedestrians in central London in the early hours of Sunday, and left one woman in a critical condition. Gabrielle Carrington, of Broadfield Road, Manchester, was also charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm and drink-driving. The Metropolitan Police said a 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition. The force is urging the public not to share "extremely graphic" footage of the incident which has been circulating online "out of respect for the victims, and so as not to prejudice criminal proceedings". A man in his 50s was also taken to hospital with life-changing injuries. A third woman, aged in her 30s, was treated for minor injuries. Police were called to Argyll Street in Soho at about 04:30 BST following reports that a car had been involved in a collision with pedestrians. The Met said the incident was not being treated as terrorism-related. Carrington, who the Daily Mail reported had starred on The X Factor in 2013 as part of girl group Miss Dynamix, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tu
