MLB playoffs: Raleigh homers as Mariners stifle Blue Jays in long-awaited return to ALCS

The Seattle Mariners defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 in Game 3 of the American League Division Series, advancing to the American League Championship Series for the first time in 24 years. Cal Raleigh hit a home run, and Jorge Polanco drove in the go-ahead run with a sixth-inning single. The Mariners' pitching staff, led by Bryce Miller, Gabe Speier, Matt Brash, and Andrés Muñoz, combined for just 100 pitches, retiring 23 of the Blue Jays' final 24 batters. George Springer hit a home run for the Blue Jays in the first inning, but they were unable to mount a comeback.
