Microsoft’s Gaming Copilot AI assistant is coming to Windows PCs and the Xbox mobile app
Microsoft is rolling out its Gaming Copilot AI assistant to Windows PCs and the Xbox mobile app. The assistant, which is currently being tested with Xbox Insiders, will be available to players aged 18 and older on the PC Game Bar. The Xbox app version will be released in October for both Android and iOS. The Gaming Copilot AI assistant is designed to provide in-game assistance, answer questions about a player's Xbox account, and offer recommendations on purchases. It can be accessed through a chat box overlay or voice commands, and includes a widget for the PC build that can be placed anywhere on the screen. Microsoft is still in the process of developing and improving the Gaming Copilot, and is encouraging user feedback to make it more helpful for players' needs and preferences. The company has also been testing the assistant on Windows-based portable consoles and is expected to release it for their upcoming Xbox Ally handheld gaming machines.
