Former Obama counsel ânot completely truthfulâ in Epstein testimony, Democrats say

Ruemmler, who testified as part of the panelâs investigation into the convicted sex offender, said in her opening remarks that Epstein âusedâ her âto legitimize his standingâ and that âit was a mistake to deal withâ him. She insisted she never witnessed criminal activity. Democrats emerged from the first several hours of questioning saying Ruemmler was not forthcoming about her ties to Epstein. âIt is difficult to see how sheâs being completely truthful in there with the answers sheâs given the committee,â Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the oversight committee, told reporters.
