Lenovo cancels some Legion Go 2 pre-orders due to ‘substantial’ demand

Lenovo has had to cancel some pre-orders for its upcoming Legion Go 2 handheld gaming PC due to "substantially exceeded" demand, according to a representative. The device, which starts at $1,100 and goes up to $1,350 for a more powerful version, was originally scheduled for delivery in October, but some customers have seen their delivery times slip to as long as six weeks. While the Legion Go 2 features an impressive OLED screen and removable controllers, the high price tag has not been well received. Lenovo has attributed the delays to the unexpectedly high demand, but it's unclear whether there were also some production or logistical issues behind the scenes. The rival ROG Xbox Ally device from Asus, co-branded with Microsoft, is also scheduled for release in October but has not yet been officially priced.
