Disney+ design and navigation changes are on the way
Disney+ is set to undergo a major redesign and navigation overhaul in the coming months. The app will feature a new navigation bar at the top, with dedicated tabs for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN content. The "For You" tab will now be the default landing page, providing personalized recommendations based on user viewing history. The vertical navigation bar will also include a live hub, where users can access live news, sports, events, and 24/7 streams. Additionally, Hulu will replace Star as the global entertainment brand outside the US, bringing more mature content to international users. The update also includes the introduction of iOS widgets, allowing for one-click access to the app's content. Disney+ is also planning to introduce "mobile-first and mobile-exclusive experiences" in the near future. This redesign follows the recent Jimmy Kimmel suspension saga, which reportedly led to a loss of 1.7 million Disney+ subscribers. The company has since reinstated Kimmel and is now focusing on improving the app's design and navigation to enhance the user experience.
