Google rolls out its most powerful Gemini model yet

Google has released its most advanced reasoning model, Deep Think, for its Gemini 2.5 AI service. The new model, which is a variation of the one that recently achieved a gold-medal standard at the International Mathematical Olympiad, is now available to Google AI Ultra subscribers for $250 per month. The public version of Deep Think is said to achieve a bronze-medal standard at the same competition, according to Google's internal testing. The model is faster and better suited for daily use, while the gold-medal version will undergo further testing and be shared with a small group of mathematicians and academics for research. Deep Think works by leveraging parallel thinking techniques, allowing Gemini to generate and consider multiple ideas simultaneously. The model is also multi-modal, capable of processing text, images, and sound. According to Google, Deep Think has outperformed other AI models, such as OpenAI's o3 and xAI's Grok 4, in various benchmarks.
