The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office released video showing a high-speed pursuit, cornfield search and arrest of a wanted 40-year-old man Aug. 17, 2026. A wanted Wisconsin man led deputies on a 12-mile high-speed chase before bailing from a moving car and vanishing into a cornfield, sparking a five-hour manhunt that ended with a K-9 and drone-assisted takedown. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office in Wisconsin, the high-speed case began at 2:26 p.m. Aug. 17, when authorities were told that the 40-year-old suspect had fled from the City of Fond du Lac Police Department. A deputy spotted the vehicle traveling south on Highway 175 near Highway 151 and attempted to stop it using lights and sirens, the sheriff’s office said.
