Google’s Mixboard is an AI moodboard builder

Google has launched a new AI-powered moodboard builder called Mixboard, which is currently available in the US through a public beta. The tool allows users to create visually-appealing projects by utilizing pre-populated board templates or generating visuals through text prompts using Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash model. The format of Mixboard is similar to existing platforms like FigJam or Adobe's Firefly Boards, but it represents Google's foray into developing more design-focused applications. Users can add their own images or generate visuals based on descriptions, such as "show me cups, bowls, and plates in Memphis style" or "plan an autumn party in my living room." The tool can be used for a variety of purposes, including decorating your home, planning events, or simply creating entertaining image ensembles, similar to Pinterest boards. Mixboard also offers one-click options to regenerate images or generate similar-looking designs, making it a versatile and user-friendly AI-powered conceptualization tool.
