Rumored Resident Evil 0 Remake Will Flesh Out Original's Story - Report

Capcom is reportedly working on a remake of the 2002 prequel Resident Evil 0, codenamed "Chamber." The remake is said to be in development for several years, with motion capture work starting in 2024. Actor Jon McLaren, known for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy, is rumored to be playing a lead character in the project, possibly Billy Coen, the male protagonist of the original game. The remake is expected to expand on the original's plot and characters, including making the train conductor a more prominent figure. While not officially announced, the Resident Evil 0 remake is rumored to be released in 2028, with another rumored remake, Code Veronica, set for 2027. The next mainline entry in the series, Resident Evil Requiem, is slated for 2026 and will return the franchise to Raccoon City.
