Starfield On PS5 Won't Be Announced Until 2026 - Report

Starfield, the highly anticipated RPG from Bethesda Game Studios, has been long rumored to be released on the PlayStation 5 (PS5) console. However, a recent report suggests that the announcement of a PS5 port for the game will not come until 2026. The report, from reliable leaker NateTheHate2, states that Starfield will be revealed for the PS5 in 2026, potentially alongside a second expansion. This information comes after a previous report in August that claimed the RPG was set to launch on the Sony system in the spring, possibly alongside a second expansion. Additionally, NateTheHate2 has also suggested that Starfield could be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. This aligns with the precedent set by Xbox, which has been bringing some of its big-name titles, such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, to the Switch platform. It's worth noting that Microsoft, the parent company of Bethesda, has not officially confirmed a PS5 port for Starfield. However, the Bethesda Creation Kit website did feature a PS5 logo for a Starfield mod at one point, and the company's CEO, Phil Spencer, has not ruled out the possibility of the game coming to the Sony system. Starfield is currently scheduled to launch in 2023 and will be available exclusively for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
