Snapchat introduces a paid storage option for all the Memories hoarders out there

Snapchat is introducing paid storage plans for its Memories feature, which has accumulated over one trillion Snaps since its launch in 2016. The new plans offer up to 100GB of storage for $1.99 per month, 250GB for Snapchat+ subscribers at $3.99 per month, and 5TB for Platinum subscribers at $15.99 per month. Snap says that a "vast majority" of Snapchat users won't be affected, as they are far from the 5GB limit. However, for users who have saved thousands of Snaps, these new storage plans will be available. To ease the transition, Snap will provide a year of temporary storage for anyone exceeding the 5GB limit. These new storage subscriptions follow Snap's recent introduction of the Lens+ subscription, which costs $9 per month. The article originally appeared on Engadget.
