Meta’s new Ray-Ban AI smart glasses are controlled using gestures

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has unveiled a new line of smart glasses called the Ray-Ban Display and Neural Band. These glasses feature a discreet color display on the side of the right lens, allowing users to view messages, photos, translations, and AI-powered responses. The glasses are designed to integrate technology seamlessly into everyday life, with a 600x600 pixel display, adjustable brightness, and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The device is controlled using a wrist-worn Neural Band, which recognizes muscle movements and converts them into commands. The glasses come with a range of features, including WhatsApp and Messenger integration, video calls, navigation, live subtitles, and music control. They also feature a 12MP camera, 32GB of storage, and a battery life of up to 6 hours (or 30 hours with a charging case). The Meta Ray-Ban Display will be priced at $799, including the Neural Band, and will initially be available in the US starting September 30th, 2025, with a European launch expected in early 2026.
