Oura adds colorful ceramic rings and charging case to lineup

Oura, the smart ring company, has unveiled a new lineup of colorful ceramic rings, starting at $499. The ceramic rings come in four colors: midnight (teal), petal (pink), tide (mint green), and cloud (white). The rings are thicker and slightly heavier than the previous generation, but retain the same sensors and functionality. Oura is also introducing a $99 charging case that can hold up to 5 full charges and charge the ring in about 90 minutes. Additionally, Oura is adding a new feature called Health Panels, which allows users to schedule a blood test with a local Quest Diagnostics location and view their biomarkers related to cardiovascular and metabolic health within the app. The tests cost $99 and are reviewed by a licensed healthcare provider, though the Oura Advisor AI chatbot can provide guidance on the results. This feature is currently only available in the US, with some state-level restrictions. The new ceramic rings and charging case are aimed at providing users with a more fashionable and convenient option, while the Health Panels feature aims to offer users a deeper understanding of their health metrics.
