Escape From Tarkov Will Finally Escape Early Access This Fall

Escape From Tarkov, a first-person tactical shooter developed by Battlestate Games since 2012, will finally exit early access and release its version 1.0 this fall, as confirmed by the studio head Nikita Buyanov. The game has been in closed beta since 2017, and players have been eagerly awaiting its full release. The announcement was made through a live-action trailer, but details about the content and features in the 1.0 version are yet to be shared. Battlestate Games has faced some backlash from the community regarding the release of the $150 Edge of Darkness limited edition, which was said to include all future DLC, and the subsequent release of Escape From Tarkov: Arena and the game's PvE mode as a separate $250 purchase. The studio has since apologized and promised to let Edge of Darkness owners access the PvE mode as well. Escape From Tarkov is currently only available on PC and can be found on the Epic Games Store.
