Netgear’s new Wi-Fi 7 mesh system is its most affordable yet

Netgear has launched the Orbi 370, a new and affordable addition to its Wi-Fi 7 mesh router portfolio. The three-pack, which includes a router and two satellites, is priced at $349.99, significantly lower than Netgear's other Wi-Fi 7 systems. A two-pack with a router and a single satellite is available for $249.99. The Orbi 370 supports Wi-Fi speeds of up to 5Gbps and features integrated 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports, allowing for wired connections to devices like gaming systems and smart TVs. The router and satellites support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, which can be combined using Multi-Link Operation (MLO) to potentially provide faster downloads, less latency, and a more stable connection to Wi-Fi 7 devices. While Wi-Fi 7-compatible devices are currently limited, the Orbi 370 is backward compatible with older wireless network standards. The MLO feature may also benefit devices using older Wi-Fi standards, providing immediate improvements to wireless connections for users. The more affordable entry point of the Orbi 370 targets growing households or those with "moderately demanding Wi-Fi needs," according to Netgear, but it may also appeal to anyone looking to upgrade from older wireless network standards.
