AT&T is raising home internet prices for the second year in a row

AT&T is raising the prices of its home internet plans by $5 per month, effective December 1, 2025. This is the second consecutive year the company has increased its prices, with a previous $5-per-month increase in November 2024. Some customers may have also experienced a $5-per-month increase in 2023. AT&T cites the need to meet evolving business needs and manage increasing operational costs as the reasons for the price hike. The company assures customers that it is committed to maintaining high-quality service and providing transparency about the updates. To offset the changes, customers can receive a $10 monthly discount by enrolling in Autopay and Paperless Billing with an eligible bank account, or a $5 discount with a debit card. While AT&T reported higher operating expenses in the previous quarter, the company also generated substantial profits, earning $4.9 billion in pure profit during the same period and $12.3 billion in pure profit during the entirety of 2024. The price increase will not affect customers who signed up in the last year or those enrolled in the Access from AT&T program for low-income households.
