Nintendo’s new Fire Emblem mobile game has an Among Us-style twist

Nintendo is releasing a new mobile game called Fire Emblem Shadows, which introduces a unique twist to the Fire Emblem franchise. The game features a social deduction element, where one of the three allies participating in each battle is secretly a treacherous disciple of shadow. Players will choose to play as either a disciple of light, aiming to navigate through the labyrinth, or a disciple of shadow. After the initial battle, players will vote to determine who they believe is the traitor. The outcome of the vote will affect the difficulty of the next battle. Fire Emblem Shadows is a free-to-play app with optional in-app purchases. It is available for both iOS and Android devices. The game is a spinoff of the popular Fire Emblem series, which has had a successful mobile entry, Fire Emblem Heroes, since 2017. Nintendo has also announced a new mainline Fire Emblem game for the Switch 2, titled Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.
