Bowers & Wilkins' Px8 S2 headphones have updated drivers, improved ANC and a new look
Bowers & Wilkins has released the Px8 S2 wireless headphones, a follow-up to the original Px8 model. The new headphones feature updated audio drivers, a built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and an improved digital signal processor (DSP), allowing for high-resolution audio support up to 24-bit/96 kHz. The headphones also include a five-band customizable EQ and support for Qualcomm's aptX Lossless audio codec. The Px8 S2 has a slimmer design with Nappa leather and die-cast aluminum construction, and it's slightly lighter than the original Px8. The headphones also offer improved active noise cancellation (ANC) and a transparency mode, as well as a 30-hour battery life. The Px8 S2 is priced at $800, $100 more than the original Px8, and Bowers & Wilkins promises future software updates, including one that will bring spatial audio support.
