Meta is making the metaverse look better

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is making significant improvements to its Roblox-like social platform, Horizon Worlds. The company has introduced a new game engine, the Horizon Engine, which promises better graphics, faster performance, and more advanced VR worlds, including increased capacity for concurrent users. Additionally, Meta has launched the Meta Horizon Studio, an editor that allows creators to develop custom in-game experiences. This tool integrates generative AI tools for creating textures and audio, and will soon include an AI assistant to aid creators in the development process. While Horizon Worlds has not yet gained widespread adoption, Meta is actively working to onboard more creators to the platform. Earlier this year, the company opened a $50 million creators fund to incentivize the development of content and experiences for the metaverse. Overall, these updates from Meta aim to enhance the visual quality and user experience of the Horizon Worlds platform, as the company continues to invest in the development of the metaverse.
