Elden Ring Patch 1.02 Slightly Delayed Following Tsunami Warnings
Elden Ring's highly anticipated Patch 1.02 has been slightly delayed due to tsunami warnings in Japan following a massive earthquake near Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. The patch, originally scheduled for July 30, has been moved to July 31 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET. The patch will introduce a new two-player "Duos" mode, allowing pairs of players to tackle the game's challenges without needing a third person. This feature was previously overlooked during development but has become popular with players through an unofficial mod on PC. Elden Ring Nightreign, the game's latest expansion, has been a significant success, crossing 5 million sales and peaking at over 313,000 concurrent users on Steam. Meanwhile, the base game, Elden Ring, has sold over 30 million copies. From Software's next big project is The Duskbloods for the Nintendo Switch 2.
