Microsoft’s Office apps now have free Copilot Chat features
Microsoft is integrating its Copilot Chat feature into Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote, for all Microsoft 365 business users at no additional cost. The Copilot Chat feature allows users to draft documents, analyze spreadsheets, and more without needing a separate Copilot license. While the free Copilot Chat offers basic features, the $30 per month, per user Microsoft 365 Copilot license provides better integration, file upload and image generation, and access to the latest technology like GPT-5. Microsoft is also planning to bundle its sales, service, and finance Copilots into the Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription in October, reducing the price for some businesses.
