Apple ends support for Clips video-editing app

Apple has announced the discontinuation of its Clips video-editing app. Launched in 2017, Clips was designed to help users create and share videos on social media platforms, with features like music, text, and augmented reality effects. Over the years, Apple had added more advanced video editing tools to the app, but updates had slowed down in recent times. The company has now decided to remove Clips from the App Store, and the app will no longer be available for download after October 10, 2025. While existing users can continue using the app, Apple has advised them to save their videos directly to their Photos library, providing instructions on how to do so with and without effects. This is to ensure that users don't lose their videos if Clips stops working due to future operating system updates.
