Meta is bringing an all-in-one movie and TV streaming hub to Quest headsets

Meta is introducing Horizon TV, an all-in-one streaming hub for its Quest headsets. The new feature will provide access to a variety of popular streaming apps, including Prime Video, Peacock, Twitch, Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN. The hub will offer content recommendations and allow users to switch between different categories like movies, TV shows, sports, and music. Meta is also partnering with Universal Pictures and Blumhouse to offer 3D movie experiences, similar to Apple's partnership with Disney for its Vision Pro headset. Additionally, Horizon TV will support Dolby Atmos surround sound, with plans to add Dolby Vision support later this year. The integration of these streaming services and enhanced viewing experiences aims to make it easier for Quest users to access their favorite content within a single, centralized platform on their virtual reality headsets.
