Anthropic’s Claude AI can now automatically ‘remember’ past chats

Anthropic's Claude AI chatbot now has the ability to automatically "remember" details from previous conversations, without users having to prompt it. This feature is currently only available for Anthropic's Team and Enterprise users. The new memory feature allows Claude to incorporate a user's preferences, project context, and priorities into its responses, providing a more personalized experience. Claude's memory also carries over to projects, enabling users to generate content like diagrams and website designs based on uploaded files. Anthropic notes that the memory feature is "fully optional," and users can view and edit the stored information from their settings menu. Both OpenAI and Google have already launched similar cross-chat memory features for their chatbots. Additionally, Anthropic is rolling out incognito chats for all users, which Claude won't save to its chat history or refer to in future chats, similar to Google's Private Chats feature for Gemini.
