Insta360 spin-off Antigravity is making a drone that can record 360-degree video

Insta360, a camera company known for its 360-degree cameras, has spun off a new drone company called Antigravity. Antigravity is currently developing an unnamed drone that can record 360-degree video, similar to Insta360's X camera series. The company aims to cater to both existing drone owners looking for more creative video options and beginners who may be intimidated by the learning curve of flying a drone. Insta360 has previously experimented with drones, introducing the Sphere, which could attach the company's 360-degree cameras to a DJI Mavic 2 drone, making the drone "invisible" in the resulting footage. However, the Antigravity team believes that developing their own drone will allow them to keep the development process more agile and introduce new product lines and accessory ecosystems in the near future. Antigravity plans to reveal its first drone in August 2025, providing a new option for capturing 360-degree video footage from the air.
