Anthropic connects Claude to Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive

Anthropic, an AI company, has integrated its Claude AI assistant with Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive. This integration allows Claude to access and analyze content from Word documents, Teams messages, and Outlook emails, making it more useful in a work environment. The Microsoft 365 connector is now available for all Claude Team and Enterprise plan users, and administrators need to enable the integration before end-users can connect their accounts. Claude will also be able to search through chat conversations in Microsoft Teams, as well as access channel discussions and meeting summaries. Additionally, Anthropic is launching an enterprise search feature in Claude, which makes it easier for the AI assistant to search across a company's data sources. This feature is particularly valuable for onboarding new team members, analyzing customer feedback, and identifying internal experts. The integration between Claude and Microsoft 365 is facilitated by Anthropic's open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector, which Microsoft has embraced and plans to use widely in Windows as it rewrites its operating system to turn computers into AI-powered devices.
