IXI's autofocus glasses are one step closer to reality

Finnish startup IXI has developed autofocus glasses with built-in eye tracking and LCD technology. These glasses automatically focus on whatever the wearer is looking at, eliminating the need for bifocal or varifocal lenses. IXI has acquired the lens manufacturing company Finnsusp and entered a strategic partnership with OptiSwiss, bringing them closer to mass production. Unlike flashy smart glasses, IXI's design aims to look like regular eyewear, making them more appealing to older audiences who may benefit from the technology. The company claims to have developed the "world's lowest power eye-tracking" and expects the glasses to be priced at the "high end of existing glasses." While not yet available for purchase, IXI's autofocus glasses offer a promising high-tech solution for those experiencing age-related eye degradation.
