CNN is trying again with a new streaming service
CNN is launching a new streaming service called "CNN All Access" on October 28th, 2022. The service will be priced at $6.99 per month and will offer a selection of CNN's live US and international programming, as well as access to a thousand hours of on-demand CNN Original Series and CNN Films content. Additionally, the service will include exclusive new on-demand shows, special features, and live events. Current pay-TV subscribers will get the streaming content for free, but they'll need to subscribe to CNN's basic tier for full CNN.com access. The launch of the new service comes three years after the failure of CNN+, a previous attempt at a standalone streaming service that shut down within a month. It's unclear whether the new service will offer a full simulcast of the CNN cable channel, as the company has only promised a "selection" of live programming.
