Apple's long-rumored smart display will reportedly cost $350
Apple is reportedly developing a new smart home product lineup, including an indoor camera, a smart display, and a tabletop robot. The smart display, expected to launch in spring 2026, will have a 7-inch square LCD display, a built-in FaceTime camera, and an improved version of Siri that will behave more like ChatGPT. The display will come in two versions, one mounted on a HomePod mini-like speaker and the other designed to be hung on a wall. Apple is targeting a price of around $350 for the smart display. The tabletop robot, expected to launch in 2027, will have a larger 9-inch display and a motorized arm to move the device. All three products will be manufactured in Vietnam, a significant change in Apple's production strategy.
