They canât, not since their 18-year-old son, Nolan Wells, first went missing. âThis was our baby boy,â Christine Wonsley said, wearing blue to match Wellsâ father, the couple tightly holding hands. âI birthed him.â Wonsley is now fighting for answers, so that she may find peace in knowing she did everything possible to uncover the truth behind her sonâs death, she told CNNâs Victor Blackwell on Saturday. Itâs been one week since Wells and his friends went on a Fourth of July trip to Horn Island â an uninhabited stretch of pristine wilderness off the Mississippi coast with no shelters, no facilities and no communications.
