Reform UK council in Nottinghamshire ends ban on local journalists

Nottinghamshire county council, led by the Reform UK party, has lifted its ban on local journalists from the Nottingham Post and its website, Nottinghamshire Live. The council had previously imposed the ban, but reversed the decision after facing the threat of legal action over the move, which was seen as damaging to the freedom of expression. The council has now stated that it is "committed to the principles of openness" and has ended the sanctions on the journalists.
