Steve Jobs will appear on commemorative $1 coin

The US Mint has unveiled the design for a commemorative $1 coin honoring the late Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs. The coin features a young Jobs sitting cross-legged in front of a California landscape, wearing his signature turtleneck. The inscription on the coin reads "Make something wonderful," a quote used to frame Jobs' legacy. The coin will be available for purchase from the Mint website in 2026 and will cost $13.25. This is part of a larger project by the Mint to pay tribute to American innovation, with each state nominating its own icon to be memorialized. California, Jobs' home state, selected him to represent the state's unique brand of innovation.
