Majority of family court cases in England and Wales feature domestic abuse, watchdog says
According to a review by the domestic abuse commissioner in England and Wales, the majority of family court cases (87%) featured evidence of domestic abuse, including physical, psychological, or sexual abuse of a family member. The review, ordered by the domestic abuse commissioner Nicole Jacobs, found that nearly 90% of cases before the family courts involved such abuse.
