Rivian’s e-bike leaks ahead of next month’s announcement

Rivian's micromobility spinoff, Also, is set to unveil a new electric bike on October 22nd. The design has been partially leaked, showing a compact, pedal-assisted commuter bike with a utility-focused design, including features like a cargo rack, integrated lighting, and 20-inch wheels. The e-bike appears to be a hybrid between a Gocycle electric bike and a Cake electric scooter. Also is a legally separate company from Rivian, but it is chaired by Rivian's founder and CEO, RJ Scaringe, and Rivian has a substantial minority ownership stake in the startup. The company plans to launch its first flagship product in early 2026, with an initial focus on the US and Europe, suggesting the October 22nd announcement may lead to a pre-order period, as is common with EV companies.
