PlayStation is getting a big, fancy art book full of unused designs
Sony is releasing a 400-page art book called "PlayStation: The First 30 Years" to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation console. The book will feature rare photos of prototype controllers and consoles, as well as concept sketches and design models that shaped the look of Sony's consoles. The book will be available in two editions: a Standard Edition for $125 and a Deluxe Edition for $325, which includes a foil-stamped presentation box and an exclusive print signed by a PlayStation designer. Additionally, Sony has announced a collaboration with Reebok to release a collection of three sneakers inspired by the original PlayStation console, each corresponding to a different launch region. The sneakers will be available in October 2025.
