‘We’re here to help’: how Ofcom is urging porn sites to follow the Online Safety Act

Ofcom, the UK's media regulator, is urging pornography sites to comply with the new Online Safety Act. At an adult industry conference in Prague, three Ofcom regulators were present, advising delegates on the act's age verification requirements introduced in July. The regulators emphasized the importance of honesty and transparency, encouraging site owners to acknowledge if their measures are not yet sufficient and include that in their risk assessments. The aim is to ensure children are prevented from accessing pornographic content, a key objective of the Online Safety Act.
