Five people arrested man allegedly shot in Swindon

Five people have been arrested after a man suffered a suspected gunshot wound. Wiltshire Police was called to St Paul's Street in the Gorse Hill area of Swindon just before 21:00 BST on Friday after reports of a gun being fired. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition. The force said a cordon remained in place in St Paul's Street and Queens Drive while officers carried out their investigation. The five suspects remain in custody for questioning, they added.
