David Hayter "Would Have Loved" A Redo With Metal Gear Solid Delta
David Hayter, the voice actor who portrayed Snake in the first four mainline Metal Gear Solid games, would have loved the opportunity to re-record his lines for the upcoming remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Hayter believes he has improved as an actor over the past 20 years and could have brought more to the role. However, he is still open to playing Snake in any future Metal Gear Solid games, as it is the "definitive role" in his life. Hayter was replaced by Keifer Sutherland as the voice of Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which was not easy for him to accept at the time, but he has since come to terms with it. Metal Gear Solid Delta is set to launch on August 28 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a new online multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt coming in the fall.
