OneNote finally gets a popular keyboard shortcut that was missing
Microsoft OneNote, a popular note-taking app, has finally introduced a highly requested feature - the ability to "paste text only" using the Ctrl + Shift + V (or Cmd + Shift + V on Macs) keyboard shortcut. This feature allows users to strip away any formatting when pasting content from various sources, such as Word documents, web pages, or emails, into OneNote. Previously, users could access the "paste text only" option by right-clicking and selecting the "Keep Text Only" option or by changing the app's Default Paste Option setting. The new keyboard shortcut provides a more convenient way to perform this task, aligning with the shortcuts available in other Microsoft 365 apps. The update is currently rolling out to the latest versions of OneNote for Windows, macOS, and the web. Users who don't see the feature immediately should check back as the rollout may not have reached their device yet.
